tchibi – the brand:
tchibi is a young brazilian brand, following the big cities spirit. It started as knitting brand but nowadays it’s known for working with many different handmade techniques, fabrics and textures. Tchibi’s first official appearance was in 2009, at Fashion Rio inside a newcomer’s project. We have passion for handmade, urban lifestyle, colors, different cultures and ethnicities, modernity, skateboard and rock music.
tchibi refers to japanese word 'chibi' for short person or small child.
marie – the designer:
Marie is a 22 years old fashion designer from Brazil who is running her own brand for 2 years. She begun her desginer life studying fashion at SENAI (brazil), being part of Mercado do Mundo Mix (an event to alternative fashion marketing) and she was winner at L'oreal Criando moda. By her fashion show at L'oreal Criando Moda, she was invited to work at the richest fashion brand in Brazil, Daslu. After that, she was selected to have a fashion show inside Rio de Janeiro Fashion Week (Fashion Rio) inside the newcomers project. Her artworks were featured at United States at The San Luis Valley Folk Arts and Fiber Festival and for 3 years it was published in the book International Freeform Guild Show. She lived for a while in Germany, where she developed strong fashion editorial based on knitwear. She owns from the pop musician Yida Huang a track for one of her fashion shows (and this track is on his last album), and she also participated in a fashion show at Japan Experience.
She was invited to be part of Dragão Fashion Brasil (One of the most important fashion weeks here in Brazil for creative fashion) and also developed a mini collection to PuraFibra. The mini Collection was showcased at Mega Artesanal. More recently she's designing for a german rock musician and focusing in expanding her market around the globe.

-Started to customize t-shirts and sell them at Mercado do Mundo Mix in São Paulo.
2007
-Selected as winner at "L'oreal Criando Moda" competition in São Paulo.
2008
- Winter fashion show provided by "L'oreal Criando Moda".
- On account of her performance at her first fashion show, was invited to a internship and worked for some months at Daslu, one of the biggest and richest brands in Brazil.
- Selected as newcomer designer at Rio Moda Hype, Fashion Rio.
2009
- Winter fashion show at Rio Moda Hype, Fashion Rio.
- Participated in "International Freeform Guild's show 4 seasons" as latin based representative.
- The book of the show was released containing one of her crochet freeforms on it.
- Her creation at "International Freeform Guild's show 4 seasons" was invited to be part of an exhibition that was held in Colorado (USA) at The San Luis Valley Folk Arts and Fiber Festival.
- Participated with 3 knitted pieces at Fashion Mob (Casa de Criadores), Brazil.
2010:
- Accessories and jewelry project, been well accepted in international fashion selling websites.
- Released "Little Joys" project.
- Her artwork was again at "2010 International Freeform Guild Show"(as latin based representative) and the book.
- Speech at "ETEC Rocha Mendes" to fashion young students.
- Some designs appeared twice at Senac photo shoots (São Paulo).
- ClickSP photo shoot at Paulista Avenue.
- ClickSP photo shoot at Minhocão and Praça Rosevelt.
- Photo shoot at Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
- 3rd Fashion show (you.kai) at Japan Experience.
